Transgender Day of Remembrance

Transgender Day of RemembranceThis Wednesday, the East Harlem/Bronx LGBT Task Force will hold its first ever Transgender Day of Remembrance March and Vigil. A great percentage of New York City’s transgender and gender-nonconforming communities live in the Bronx and Upper Manhattan. This event will honor our community with a bi-borough march and vigil. In addition to honoring those of our community who are no longer with us, this march/vigil will celebrate and give visibility to those who call our city home!

Please join us at 6:00 p.m. at 138th St. & 3rd Ave in the Bronx. We will be marching to the Harlem State Office Building (125th & 7th Ave.) for expected arrival at around 7:00-7:15.

The East Harlem/Bronx LGBT Task Force is spearheaded by Melissa’s office, other local elected officials and community groups.
